Q. What do I need to know about your initial consultations? Is there a fee?

A. Our initial consultation is FREE. Steve Brown, the owner, likes to speak with all potential clients. Once he has an overview of the scope of the job, he can determine which designer is a good fit. We can come to your home if that is helpful.

Q. How do you charge for a residential interior design job?

A. We charge a fee for specifying and supervising your contractor or ours. This includes the time a designer spends with you working on something not associated with the products we supply. This fee is set after the designer determines the scope of the job and you have hired a contractor. Since the work we do in each home varies we do not have a set fee.

Q. What size projects does Brown's Inter Design accept? Can I start with one room?

A. Our designers can help you with any type or size of project. Whether you need to decorate your first home, redesign your second home or start with one room, we can help you conceptualize, visualize and realize your dream.

A. We have many product options that are "green". Many furniture, fabric, lighting and wallpaper companies have made a big effort to have these options available to our clients today.

Q. We are thinking of remodeling our house. When should we call an Interior Designer?

A. If you are thinking of remodeling your home or building a new one you should call us AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. A Brown's designer can bring knowledge & experience to the decisions made regarding electrical, plumbing, fabrics and furniture. In most cases, they actually help avoid unnecessary expenditure by making sure that needs are met and no errors are made along the way. We can help you save time and money with our knowledge.

A. Yes, we have many different types of subcontractors that we work with on a regular basis and can highly recommend. If you are look for re-upholstering, custom window treatments, carpet installation, wallpaper installation, custom built-ins we have the right person for you. We are happy to work with your builder, general contractor or any other contractor you would like to work with.
